In a career that spanned 37 years in the Irish public service, Julie O’Neill has worked in strategic policy development and implementation in eight Government Departments. She retired from the civil service in 2009 following completion of a seven year term as Secretary General in the Department of Transport and since then she has become an experienced independent non-executive director.
